Join us for our fun-filled wine classes and get hands on knowledge of all things wine. It’s sure to be an exhilarating experience! Meats, cheeses, fruit and dessert are provided to be paired with wines. Private classes are available with a minimum of 8 guest. Must be 21 years of age to purchase or participate in our classes. This course is simply all things wine! Here you will learn about wine types, grape varietals, key wine production regions, how grapes are grown and wine making. You will taste wine from various wine regions and may discover a new favorite! This course is 1.5 hours – $30 per person
This is our most popular class! In this course you will learn basic wine tasting techniques. You will learn the various identifying characteristics of five of the noble wine varietals (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) and be able to identify them by sight, smell and taste. This course is 1.5 hours – $30 per person
In our Wine Tasting 2 studio, we cover wine tasting basics and delve deeper into the wine tasting experience. We will briefly review what you learned in Wine Tasting 1, continue to identify more wine attributes through the senses and experience wine tasting techniques. At the end of the course, students will be able to successfully identify wine through a blind taste test. This course is 2.5 hours – $45 per person
This is a great class to take before you begin your journey exploring Virginia wineries! In this course we cover the various wine regions throughout our state and introduce you to the major wineries of that region. We discuss techniques our wine makers use in the making of wine and we sample an array of wonderful Virginia wines. This course is 2.5 hours – $45 per person
If you’ve ever wondered why some wines are priced at $6.99 while others that seemingly taste the same are priced at $27.99, this class is for you! Discover what goes into winemaking to get a better idea of the associated cost and quality of the wines you select. After this class, you may rethink that $5.00 bottle of wine you’ve been drinking. This course is 1.5 hours – $30 per person
